What is a treatment session like?

During mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT), an oxygen concentrator purifies the oxygen to 90%, which is breathed though a mask inside the pressurized chamber. During treatment, simply breathe. Feel free to use any form of entertainment in the chamber. If none of that is appealing, just relax, or even take a nap.

The mHBOt experience is:

  • Safe

  • Natural

  • Painless

  • Healthy

Are there any side effects?

The most common side effect is barotrauma of the ears and sinuses due to the change in chamber pressure. It is similar to being in an airplane or elevator. One of the great advantages of mild HBOT is the low number of contraindications, risks and side effects. “This is one of the lowest risk procedures in all of medicine,” says Paul Harch, M.D., a leading hyperbaric medicine expert.

How do I get the best results?

Three factors determine the efficiency of mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy:

  • — Duration of oxygen exposure

  • — Pressure and gas mixture inside the chamber

  • — Therapy frequency
